Fresh off a Tony victory for Best Play (“Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” which was commissioned by and premiered at the McCarter), artistic director Emily Mann has chosen to direct McCarter Theatre's 2013-14 season opener, “Proof” by David Auburn. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony for Best Play in 2001, "Proof" is a mathematical mystery/father-daughter drama/love story that has a special meaning for Mann.
