And the Beat Goes On: Celebrating Arts Ed at the 2021 NJ Governor’s Awards

The 2021 New Jersey Governor’s Awards in Arts Education kicks off o Saturday, Mary 22, at 5 PM. The ceremony will honor 98 students and 17 education leaders who have demonstrated excellence in and dedication to arts education. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the second virtual Governor’s Awards in its 41-year history.

In this podcast, we speak with Program Director Priscilla Hopkins-Smith, two Governor’s Awards alumni, two of this year's award-winners, and a New Jersey arts educator about the impact this program has had on young people for generations.
